Overview: Join our team at Brookside Senior Living in providing exceptional care to our personal care home residents in a warm and welcoming environment. We are seeking compassionate individuals to fill the role of Personal Care Staff. You will play a vital role in assisting residents with their daily living activities and ensuring their enjoyment and well-being.

Duties: Provide personalized care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans. – Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. – Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including light housekeeping tasks. – Support residents with medication administration under the supervision of trained staff. – Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents. – Transport residents to appointments and outings as needed. – Monitor and report any changes in residents’ physical or mental condition to the appropriate personnel. – Respect resident confidentiality and always uphold resident rights. – Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive team approach to care.

Experience: 

  • Prior experience in personal care assistance, preferably in settings such as nursing facilities or personal care homes. 
  • Knowledge of regulations and practices related to patient privacy and confidentiality. 
  • Familiarity with providing care for individuals with medical problems, dementia or developmental disabilities is advantageous. 
  • Ability to transfer residents safely when needed. 
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation purposes is desirable.

Job Overview: We are seeking dedicated Dietary Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a desire for providing high-quality meals and excellent dining services, as well as a dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.

Duties:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes and/or serve as the dietary aide
  • Ensure meals are served on time and at appropriate temperatures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
  • Follow food safety guidelines and regulations
  • Assist with bussing tables and cleaning dining areas
  • Collaborate with the dietary manager and administrator to meet residents’ dietary needs

Skills:

  • Customer service: Ability to interact positively with residents and staff
  • Time management: Efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a sanitary kitchen environment
  • Food safety: Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Bussing: Clearing and cleaning tables efficiently
  • Helpful attitude: Willingness to assist team members as needed
  • Food handling: Experience in safe food preparation and storage practices
  • Knowledge of dietary department operations in a facility setting
  • Familiarity with the food industry standards and practices

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food preparation and handling is helpful but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED recommended.
  • High school and college students are encouraged to apply.
  • Clean background check.
